Ken Wagner
President & Chief Executive Officer
Ken has over 20 years of Oil and Gas industry experience. He founded Cascade Steaming Ltd. which grew into Cascade Energy Services LP where he held the position of President. He also held the position of COO of Essential Energy Services Trust from 2006 to 2008. He then went to work with the Mullen Group as President of Cascade Energy Services. He co-founded Fraction Energy Services in 2012 and held the position of President prior to its purchase by Canyon Services Group. After spending a short time as an independent businessman, Ken became President of Green Energy Services.
Rob Baker
Chief Operating Officer
Rob has over 20 years of managerial, supply chain and logistics experience, predominantly in the Oil & Gas industry. He was formerly the North American Logistics Manager for Talisman Energy and Senior Logistics Specialist with EnCana Corporation. Rob was the co-founder of Canwest Fibre Transport, cofounder of Fraction Energy Services and founder of Green Energy Services.
Marc Krauss
Chief Financial Officer
Marc is a Chartered Professional Accountant who has experience providing business advisory, financial reporting and accounting services to oil and gas service providers. Marc was born and raised in the Peace Country and is heavily involved within the community of Grande Prairie. He currently sits as Treasurer for the Grande Prairie Storm Junior A Hockey Club and is associated with the Grande Prairie Chapter of Chartered Professional Accountants and the Grande Prairie Chamber of Commerce.
Chantal MacKenzie
Chief Sustainability Officer
Born and raised in Calgary, Chantal has been involved in the energy sector her entire life. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Victoria, with a focus on Economics and Business. With over 16 years of Oil and Gas experience, she has a deep understanding of the energy sector and its nuances. Chantal was a partner at Blackstone Drilling Fluids for 8 years and has found it a complimentary transition into Fluid Management. Chantal leads Fraction’s Indigenous Business partnerships and relationships and enjoys spending time at each unique community and learning the culture.
Mitch Ternan
SR. VP, Operations
Mitch, former co-founder of Stratty Enterprise, led his fast-growth company to over 100 personnel before the Fraction acquisition in 2021. With a keen focus on efficiency, innovation and cost-saving technology, he leads Fraction’s Water Transfer operation. Mitch brings a holistic approach to incorporating both safety and technical proficiency to Fraction’s internal team and stakeholders.
Chris Kestell
SR. VP, Corporate Development
Chris got his start in the oil and gas industry working for Cascade Energy Services in 2010 and then transitioned to Mullen Group two years later. In 2013 he joined Fraction Energy Services and worked his way up through management prior to moving to Green Energy Services and becoming General Manager. Chris is a graduate of the State University of New York with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and Mathematics.
Damian Akhurst
VP, HSE
Damian’s diverse background spans deployment within the Canadian armed forces, and 15 years of management and operational experience in the oilfield services industry. A self-motivated leader, he has gained a reputation for tireless work ethic and determination. Damian started with Fraction in 2021, held the role of General Manager for two years, and has transitioned to become the company’s leader of Health, Safety & Environment.
Glynn Bates, P. Eng.
VP, Engineering and Technical Sales
Glynn has nearly 20 years of oilfield experience and started out on drilling rigs prior to pursuing post-secondary education. He attended SAIT and graduated with a Diploma in Petroleum Engineering Technology then transferred to the University of Regina where he obtained his Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Petroleum Systems Engineering. After graduation, Glynn has taken on various roles including Completions Engineer with Quicksilver Resources, Water Management Coordinator with Progress Energy (Petronas) and was most recently General Manager of Fraction Energy.
Mike Forster
VP, Operations
Mike entered the pressure pumping business in Grande Prairie at only 18 years old. Later in his career he developed Superheaters, a raving success, leading to a business partnership with the Stratty Enterprises team. Joining Fraction in 2021 post-acquisition, Mike now leads our Northern Operations with a streamlined, hands-on approach. He is a solutions-based thinker, which has greatly influenced our clients’ project successes.
Sean Selmser
VP, Sales and Marketing
Sean joined the oil and gas community in Calgary after a professional hockey career that spanned 17 years and 4 countries. He joined Fraction in March of 2021, transitioning with the Stratty Enterprise acquisition. Sean directs the sales and marketing team, and brings consistency and competency to our team and clients alike. He holds a Master of Science degree in Business Management from the University of Coventry.
Jason Henderson
President LV Energy Services
As the head of LV Energy Services, the heating division of Green Energy Services, Jason has been instrumental in steering the company towards success for over two decades. Under his guidance, LV Energy has become synonymous with top-notch quality and service. Following its acquisition by Green Energy Services in 2023, Jason has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, emphasizing the importance of the team by stating, “Employees are where the business is built.”
